It depends on the version, not the year. From December 2023 Vauxhall sold two 1.2 petrols side by side. The 1.2 Turbo Hybrid 136, a 48V mild hybrid with an automatic gearbox, uses the third-generation engine with a timing chain and has no scheduled timing replacement. The plain 1.2 Turbo 130 kept the older belt-in-oil engine and needs the belt at about 62,000 miles or six years. If the oil filler cap is integrated into the engine cover, you have the chain version.
